IN TANGO FESTIVALITO was born in 2023 from the collaboration between the Municipality of Sammichele di Bari and Angela Vallarelli, milonguera, entusiaster about Argentine Tango in all its forms. The three-day summer event is dedicated to Argentine tango with free evening Milongas in the beautiful and large Piazza Vittorio Veneto, and collateral events such as lessons, performance and live music. La piazza immediately proved to be a success thanks to a flooring completely suitable for Tango dancers and its location close to the ancient town. Sammichele di Bari is welcoming and offering dance opportunities so that Argentine Tango is fully accepted in the buena onda of a town that dances.
InTango Festivalito 2025
2025 – we are in the 3rd year and the days will be July 23, 24, 25. Midweek days that do not affect the busy Apulian calendar of summer Milongas. In these three days we will have free access to evening milongas in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, presentation of pre-milonga books on Tango, live music and Mediterranean & Argentine folklore.
PROTAGONISTS
This year’s protagonists will be the maestri of Argentine Tango Osvaldo Roldan and Annamaria Ferrara who return to bring again the spirit, energy, joy and passion of Social Tango. Like last year there will be a moment dedicated to Argentine folklore and live music, and also two afternoon literary appointments with authors of books on Argentine tango. In the evenings, MILONGAS!!! Three free evening Milongas in the beautiful Piazza Vittorio Veneto hosted by three international Argentine Tango djs: the Argentine Punto y Branca, the Italian Graziano Sportelli, the African Yatma Diallo.
MAESTRI
Artists of international importance, leading exponents of the contemporary Argentine tango milonguero, the tango that is danced in Milonga, Osvaldo Roldàn and Anna Maria Ferrara have always dedicated their work and their art to the research and study of Social Tango, intimate tango, embracing tango. For them the study of tango is a cognitive investigation and indispensable interpretation that crosses tradition, to restore a form of tango that is a synthesis of past and present, of art and culture. The culture of walking as a sign of a story, of life lived, the culture of the important, heartfelt embrace, the culture of joy in the tradition of the milonga and the vals. Art as a form of the soul which for the Masters vibrates in intuition and reveals the meaning of dance. Their tango is a memory, a story, but also a vision. Music animates the first step – we recognize it within our body and it is already vision. The eye suspends the images, travels the distance between itself and the emotion that remains suspended. The Argentine Tango for Osvaldo and Annamaria is Art that reveals an unexpected color, an unexpected picture, intense chromaticisms and revealed harmonies.

InTango Festivalito 2024
2024 – In the 2nd Edition of InTango Festivalito on the dance floor and in the lessons this time there were the teachers and dancers Veronica Toumanova and Asya Moiseeva. We also wanted a rich program of Argentine Folklore with Teresa and Andrea Cioni, Makiko Mori, Irene Coccia, as well as the Duo Golondrinas, as well as a literary and documentary moment on tango with Josè El de la Quimera, and his book Milongueros. At the console of the Milongas that this year were two there were Asya and Graziano Sportelli.
InTango Festivalito 2023
Il Festivalito opened its 1st Edition with three Milongas, the concert of the Trio Pichuco in the bandoneon, piano and voice formation, to the tunes of Astor Piazzolla, tango, vals and milonga lessons with the maestri Osvaldo Roldan e Annamaria Ferrara. At the console of the Milongas we had Punto y Branca (Jorge), Makiko Mori and the Trio Pichuco who played live danceble tango music with also dj. Amedeo Gianfrancesco. The maestri performed at the inauguration of the Festivalito on the terrace of the Castello Caracciolo where the concert was held. A rare performance because it is not in their style to dance exhibition tango. Howewer, we thank them because they dance with technique & soul. True art.
